Based on latest statistics, the population of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the total of male centenarians has tripled from 910 to 3,100. During the identical period, the count of female centenarians increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to listen to those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or close ones, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and changes.
